Springfield, IL Young Eagles Rally
Let your child experience flight over the Springfield area with an FAA-licensed pilot. You and your child(or children) will also get to explore the facilities of Lincoln Land Community College's Aviation program for aircraft mechanics, sit in and manipulate the controls of various aircraft, and learn more about how airplanes fly. After their flight, they will become an EAA Student Member, have access to Private Pilot Online Ground School, and much, much more! Rain date is September 19th.
Last Fly-in of Summer
LAST FLY-IN OF SUMMER! EAA Chapter 5 pilots will serve up a delicious pancake breakfast on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 7-11am at the Geauga County Airport (7G8) 15421 Old State Road, Middlefield, OH 44062. Breakfast includes all you can eat pancakes, plus scrambled eggs, your choice of bacon or sausage, coffee, and a variety of drinks. Cost is $10.00 per adult and $5.00 per child ages 3-12, under 3 free. Enjoy our FREE Young Eagle rides for ages 8-17 (with parental permission)
Aviation Youth Workshop
EAA113 Is providing a workshop once a month on Saturday mornings for youth ages 10-17 years of age. The workshops provide both hands-on skills and presentations on piloting skills, aircraft maintenance and construction as well as engineering topics. Attendees must be self motivated and pre-registered. Parents should contact Dan Jones to get more info and registered.
