2023-04-08 Young Eagles Rally

Have you ever wondered about the magic behind flight? If you are between the ages of 8 and 17, you are welcome to join EAA Chapter 838 for our monthly Young Eagles Rally. We will hold Ground School, where you can learn some of the science behind flight. You will then have a ride in a small private plane. Bring your parent or guardian, so they can sign the necessary paperwork. Please register in advance at www.youngeaglesday.org.

2023-04-15 Young Eagles at Chicago Executive Airport-Signature Flight Service

Youth ages 8-17 are invited to attend our Young Eagles Rally at Chicago Executive Airport. Please call 847-484-7142 to schedule your flight. A parent or legal guardian must accompany child(ren) to complete registration on the day of their flight.

Aviation Activities by Grade Level

Activity
Grades K-2

Activities range in length from 20 to 30 minutes with structured activity design where students follow teacher directions.

Activity
Grades 3-5

With projects that take about 30 to 40 minutes each, teachers present a problem and provide resources while students get to make some independent choices about various stages of the activity.

Activity
Grades 6-8

Students get to explore their own innovative ideas as teachers pose a challenge and students design or improve a project independently in these 40- to 50- minute activities.

Activity
Grades 9-12

Designed to encourage more critical thinking, students can experiment with iterative or independently-driven activities that take about 40 to 60 minutes.
